The Project
Our partners in Canada has recently installed a structure in 8 days. As part of developing the last four-lane section of Highway 97 in the Okanagan Valley, AIL was contracted to design and supply a Bolt-A-Plate recreational trail and wildlife underpass.
Challenges: first plate job for crew, winter conditions
Every project brings unique challenges and this one was no different. This was the first time this particular crew had assembled structural plate and, being a winter installation, extra care was needed to avoid the freezing of the engineered backfill. AIL representatives invested extra time on-site to ensure all went well.
The investment paid off, as we developed a strong relationship with the contractor and have since completed several other jobs with them, including an identical structure on another highway project.
